Gourmet Food Overnight

I stumbled upon a gem of a foodie website this morning called Marx Foods.

Marx Foods is an offshoot of a “boutique high-end restaurant distributor” that does business as North American Import & Export. The Marx Foods division began in 2007 to provide home chefs with the ability to purchase high-end ingredients typically only available to the pros.

You can get anything from Antelope to Yak in the meat department and vegetarians can select from a multitudinous variety of mushrooms, spices, exotic produce, beans, salts, sweeteners, cheeses and more. If Marx Foods doesn’t have what you’re looking for, I bet they can get it.

Both Marx Foods and their parent company North American Import & Export also maintain fabulous blogs, which can be found here and here. Marx Foods works on the front lines with food suppliers, home chefs, and professional chefs alike. I don’t imagine much in the way of new food trends or great ideas getting by Marx, who happily shares this insight with their customers. I wonder if they have a need for a legal intern next summer…

Marx Foods also sponsors contests where followers can compete to win great food stuffs.

Exotic ingredients, freebies and a complimenting blog are what gives Marx Foods a spot on my site. I would definitely recommend checking them out for that special ingredient to make your next dinner event one to remember.

What’s your favorite foodie website?
